The Drey Home Collection
A Drey is a squirrel's nesting box — the heart of every Scurry. We're designing a collection of premium, camera-equipped Drey Homes that blend storybook charm with wildlife-safe function. This is where you can follow that design journey, from first concept toward finished, field-ready homes.

What every Drey Home stands for
Every concept in the collection is designed against the same set of principles.
Whimsical
Storybook silhouettes and carved detail — homes that feel like they belong in a tale.
Wildlife-first
Every concept is built around a real, safe nesting chamber for squirrels — function before form.
Camera-ready
A hidden camera cavity, separated from the nest, disguised through a knot-hole, dormer, or window.
Premium & natural
Cedar, bark shingles, and non-toxic finishes — materials chosen to last and to be safe.
Four concepts, one family
Each concept shares the same core system but tells a different story. Explore the design thinking behind each one.

Explore the conceptThe shared system
However different they look, every Drey Home is built on the same foundation:
- Real squirrel nesting chamber
- Storybook exterior
- Hidden camera cavity
- Waterproof solar cable port
- Rear clean-out / service panel
- Modular faux-branch mounting system
- Artificial leaf shade canopy
- Personalized nameplate
Grounded in wildlife guidance
These are not just decorative boxes. Every concept is designed in line with USDA / NRCS nest- and den-box guidance for wildlife — rot-resistant cedar or cypress construction, upper-side ventilation, bottom drainage, a hinged access panel for annual cleaning, and no metal, plastic, creosote, or pressure-treated materials. Wildlife welfare is the first requirement; everything else is designed around it.
The design journey continues
The Drey Home Collection is in active concept development. As concepts move toward prototyping, field testing, and finished production, we'll share progress updates right here — so stakeholders and supporters can follow every step.
